Outside the United States, The Boring Company has signed a contract with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority to build a pilot Loop of 6.4 kilometers and four stations between the Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai Mall.

Elon posted it on December 17, 2016. Two years later, on December 18, 2018, the company opened its first tunnel, under Hawthorne, California.
