The first Neuralink product was named Telepathy: controlling a device by intent, aimed first at people with paralysis.
A coin-sized brain implant, the robot that places it, and the human studies underway.

27+ people implanted across four countries, per Neura Pod tracking as of August 2026. Neuralink's 28 January 2026 update reported 21 enrolled. The named stories below are the publicly identified participants, not the full count.
The first recipient; controls a computer by thought, returned to school, and speaks publicly about what the implant opened up.
First to control a robotic arm with the implant; he flies a radio-controlled airplane, plays Counter-Strike 2, and designs 3D-printed parts by thought.
Types through cursor control paired with an AI clone of his voice, and edited and narrated a YouTube video with the implant.
Uses the implant to keep doing his job by computer, saying it gives him the ability to keep working.
Controls his computer, phone, and TV through the implant, and says he got his spark and his drive back.
Moves a cursor and plays games by thought as a PRIME Study participant.
Says the implant let him unlock the true potential of his brain; he shared his story in a Neura Pod interview.
Controls a robotic arm telepathically and can feed himself unassisted again.
Draws and shares her art again, and tells others the technology can improve your life.
A PRIME Study participant in London who calls the implant more than tech: possibility.
Says the technology just understands what he wants to do and does it.
Connected the device to his laptop the day after returning home; after a short calibration it worked the first time.
A VOICE trial participant at UT Southwestern, exploring thought translated directly to speech.
The first participant implanted in the United Kingdom, at University College London Hospitals in October 2025.
One of the Canadian participants, part of the trial running through Toronto's University Health Network.
A PRIME Study participant at University of Miami Health.
From Corpus Christi, Texas. A PRIME Study participant at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix.
Seven named hospital sites across four countries, running the PRIME, CONVOY, and VOICE trials.
