Who runs this site
Elon, Explained is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Elon Musk, Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company, X, or any other company he leads. Their names and logos belong to them, and this site uses them only to identify the companies it writes about.
No investment advice
Everything on this site is general information for education. None of it is investment, financial, legal, tax, or medical advice, and none of it considers your situation. Figures come from public sources and can be wrong or out of date, so check the original filing before you rely on one. Scenarios, projections, and opinions rest on stated assumptions, and real results can differ widely. Talk to a licensed professional before you make a financial decision.
Our content
The text, charts, and original graphics on this site belong to Elon, Explained. You may quote short passages with a link back to the page, and you may share links freely. Ask before you republish a whole page, chart, or graphic. Photos, logos, quotes, and posts from other people belong to their owners.
Feedback and submissions
When you send a note, correction, or idea through the Beta feedback form (the Beta button in the lower left corner of every page) or on X, you let Elon, Explained use it to improve the site, including quoting it without your name or email, and no payment is owed for it. Please leave out anything confidential and anything you do not have the right to share.
Referral links
Some Tesla links on this site use the site owner's personal referral code. If you order through one, the owner earns Tesla referral credits. Tesla sets the rewards for buyers and referrers and can change them, and the order page shows the current offer before you pay. Each referral link is labeled where it appears.
Links to other sites
Pages link to company filings, news reports, posts on X, and other sites that Elon, Explained does not control. We are not responsible for their content, their privacy practices, or whether they stay online. Embedded posts and maps load from the services that run them, as the privacy policy explains.
Paid products and refunds
Investor briefs and premium features are paused, and nothing on the site is for sale right now. When they return, each will be a one-time digital purchase processed by Stripe, with no subscription. If a purchase fails to unlock or you were charged twice, send your Stripe receipt through the Beta form within 30 days, and we will restore access or refund you in full. A $7 credit code issued with a premium purchase works once, on one later purchase on this site, and has no cash value. These terms will be updated before any sale starts.
The site as it is
We work to keep every page accurate, but the site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Elon, Explained is not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on its content. Where the law does not allow that exclusion, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or $50 if you paid nothing.
Copyright and corrections
If you own an image or text on this site and want it credited differently or removed, or you spot a factual error, send the page address and the item through the Beta form or by direct message to @Elon_Explained on X. We review every request.
Governing law
Arizona law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Arizona hear any dispute about them. If you live in a country whose consumer law gives you rights these terms cannot remove, you keep those rights.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
